I keep hearing people say - The governments working on it don't worry , the governments on the job . For example - Education - The governments on the job working to fix it .
War - The governments on the job to prevent it .
Disease - The governments working on new cures .
Terrorism - The governments on the job working to stop it .

Well I might be synicial but I haven't seen not one bit of proof ANYWHERE that states the government is working on ANYTHING ! Sure there working on getting nonsense laws passed like condeming an ad in a magazine but the government working on real issues - Come on now .

Anyone agree ?

No offense Tsunami but the US not winning in Iraq has nothing to do with the government in Iraq or even the Iraqi people or " insurgents " . The US not winning in Iraq has to do with the fact that it is designed to stay that way , didnt you hear the headline that the US is not leaving for 10 years ! Well if everything was going well why would they have to stay for 10 years? The answer is - They wouldn't

They aren't working on S!

They are problem pimping for all they're worth.

Pimp the problem long enough and people start to believe that some work is being done.

Nobody in DC has any desire to fix anything. If they did fix something then they would have a responsibility to fix everything. As long they fix nothing. They have no responsibility.

They'll just continue to problem pimp. I keep watching the debates and I can't find a solution anywhere to anything. They do pimp the problems like real pros.

I hold a US "utility" patent for utility power plant. These power plants need no fuel, make no pollution, cost 25% of what our last Nuclear reactor cost, and being fuel-less the power will be much cheaper than any fueled process.

I spent $50,000 going to DC. I got letters from all the highest members of the Gov. But not one dime of funding! I did get every lame, stupid, I can't help responce in the book!

Every office said we don't do that here, you need to go to this office. That office said we don't do that here, you need to go to this office. It was a never ending cycle of nobody does anything, they don't know who does, and they can't find out who does.

The stupidity is rampant in office, at every level, and blinding when you see it in person. Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Newt Gingrich, Bob Barr, Sam Nunn, Coverdale, Goerge Bush, Dick Cheeny, you name it I've been there done that and all for nothing but a giant expence to pay.

Nothing wrong with our education system,if parents just whoop their kids a**es for ditching school or acting up in class then that problem would be taken care of.
You can't prevent war,but you can make sure its not brought to your doorstep. When was the last time a foreign invader stepped foot on our soil?
On disease, viruses constantly mutate and over time bacteria becomes resistant to the antibiotics we have now.You have to give it time. The medicines and vaccines we have today were not made overnight.
We've done good with terrorism,Al Qaida has been crippled.Sunni tribes in Iraq have turned on them, they were chased out of Afghanistan and are now hiding in Pakistan. They're getting their a**es kicked by Ethiopian troops in Somalia and there hasn't been a terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.
I guess that means I don't agree.

The government is useless. The sadest thing is that people still think that the gov. is the answer to everything and that we could not live/function without them. Its been shown throughout history that power corrupts and its well known that history tends to repeat itself. I think its about time that we get our heads out of the sand and unite to get rid of this system...

Oh yea I so agree with. It's just talk so people think they r doing their jobs. I think someone needs to step in and really do something about this other then just saying it. Words r not going to get the job done.

Naw, don't agree. they are working but very slowly such as the war in iraq. well its going to be hard and tedious from now on. we are going to have to build from ground up for them. remember they are 3rd wolrd country. they dont' have nothing. never did they had faucets already in homes but no water. but our military is fixing them. they had some schools but none working now they do. they had roads but now they have them and bridges. it comes slolwy and of caorse you know that senate is really slow helping preseident. but hes working hard to get them to move. its all sad state of affairs no one is owrking much with no one but military. just hang in their we'll have democrate on it soon and then we'll really go down hill fast none of them are thinking we're not ready for woman to lead the country or bama. i mean hey lets get with it and have real govt for once its been long while take care.

Political partisan gets all the blame. It makes things that should work fine, total failure and sometimes keep failures just because.

The govt has no incentive to solve these problems -- because a true solution takes power away from the govt and gives it to the people -- and no politician wants to give up power.
