i know the first one is an undershirt but i guess my main question is.... which is more popular ?

Both are Vneck undershirts, but there are differences.
#1 is 100% cotton, not pre-shrunk. It is 3 for $10.00
#2 is 65% cotton, 35% polyester, and pre-shrunk. It is 5 for $11.00.
I'd go for the second. They look the same, they retain their shape, and who is going to look at your underwear labels anyway? [ also cheaper ].
