when you give someone that ultimatum to chose between you and someone else and they chose the other person. What did he do to you? What's the word that describes that? Not replace you , what is it? I can't think of it.

Here's some possibilities:

supplanted
displaced
unseated
ousted
succeeded
superceded

I'd tend to use the phrase that you were "beat out" by the competition. Hope that helps.

I'm thinking you might mean that someone "forsook" you in that situation. It's the past tense of "forsake."
