This will be my first time voting for the Presidential Primary November 2008.

I have a candidate in a party that I like very much and would hope to see them win the nomination but am wondering what I can do?

I am not too familiar with the caucus (Iowa, etc,) and what it means for the nominee. Does that particular State vote for them? Is there a way I can?

Please list the best actions to take.

Thank You

You need to vote in the primary or caucus in your state, that's how you help your candidate get the party nod.

You can donate to their campaign, campaign for them, post yard signs in your yard and bumper stickers on your car. Talk to other people about the candidate and why you think people should vote for them. The election process consists of a primary in which you will vote for the person to win the nomination of the party they belong to. Then there is the general election in which you have a choice of voting for the Democrat Nominee or the Republican Nominee. In some states in the primary you can only vote for the person whose party is the same as yours. But in the general election you can vote for anyone of any party.

Send MONEY!
Lots of it.
MORE than the law will allow!
If you look at the entire population of the U.S. and the total quantity of the money raised by politicians, those in control violate those legal limits every day!
Would you believe the money comes from FOREIGN sources?

Besides voting for them? Volunteer to work in one of their committees. You can usually do that by visiting their web page.
