On the contrary, I believe Ms Bhutto's ambition is to strive to improve the lives of ordinary people living in Pakistan. She believes in democracy, unlike the current military regime, and the Islamic extremists. There was nothing that she could have done about the suicide bombings, as dreadful as they were. From what I've seen of her, I think she genuinely wants to make real changes to bring her country into the mainstream of the 21st century, which can only be a good thing in my view.

Politicians dont really care about people they just want power and will sell their souls to get it. I feel sorry for the poor people who think that a change of government would be of any benefit to them. Sad. I dont vote because I have seen the light. Democracy is touted as a save the people thing but it it is a flimsy dream for many poor people. What they actually want is £500 each time there is a change of leader or party. And that is the dream they have in their heads. Its months later that they realise its all a sham.

She did not bring about the attacks on herself and should not back down because of them. Someone does not want her back as it would go against his own ambitions. Democracy aside, it is mainly a fight for power.

I think you have got it backwards. It should be: How can Radical extremist bombing and killing innocent people justify their ambitions. Mrs Bhutto didn't kill anyone!!

just to play devil's advocate...why should she not pursue her ambition in politics. if she would back down as a result of these suicide bombings then the stage is set for terrorists to dictate who can and cannot run for office.

It can't and it doesn't, but it won't stop her.
If it wasn't her there'd just be someone else doing the same thing.
It isn't her ambition that's the real problem.

She was not the killer. He was the one whose head is now being shown on the Internet. His goal was to assassinate her so it is hard to put the blame on her.
