yeah i'd have to say if it's alive it's not inanimate, but I guess if I could be a non living thing it would probably be the desk in the oval office, or an astroid traveling through space. If it could be a living animal I would have to say an Eagle. It's not a patriotic thing, I would just like to be able to fly and not have to worry about being hunted.

Sand. Because the expanse it covers is the whole earth, mostly on beaches. Wouldn't it be nice beach bums make a sand tower out of you?
