Why can't "mekaniks" learn ? I would think they would know by now. When brake pads are installed ALL metal to metal surfaces must be lightly lubricated with high temp. grease. The squek is caused by vibration not from some defect in a pad or a rotor not turned. Take it back and tell them to do the lube job and your brakes won't squeak.

well when I took my car for brake pad change they told me they did, but I kept hearing that same squeak, as if metal was scraping metal.
I took the car to the shop to be checked again and they said everything looked ok, they even showed me what they changed the visit before. They kept telling me that it was cause they were new, bleh. 2 more weeks passed and I still had the same problem. Took the car again to the shop, and then there they tell me, that I need to replace the brake pads from the back and the rotors, which I decided to do. To my dismay, it almost cost me 400 dlls.
After that work was done, I havent heard that sound.
so it could be that they didnt replace them all.

What Foghorn L said.
He's sharper than a bowling ball!
Seriously, new brakes often do that. Could be just a little dirt between the brake and the drum. The sound may go away on it's own. But, if you paid for the job....I would take it back to the mechanic and tell him (or her) the problem and ask them to check it out. If he gives you a hard time, ask to speak to the manager. If he doesn't make it right, you know to find a new machanic.

Squeaky brakes can have many causes:
poor compatibility between pad material and rotor surface. (usually a cheap pads to blame)
improper rotor surface
pad not floating in caliper
missing anti squeak clips
poor pad bedding in process (glazing)

you need to put anti seize or brake pad grease(from local parts store) all over the back of the brakes pads to get rid of this annoying noise!!!

one of two things are wrong. either you didn't turn the rotors or you didn't put the anti vibration clips back on the calipers.
