with so much money being wasted on this war everyday, over 3k soldiers dead, millions of people affected, gas prices skyrocketing, a weak dollar, no global support, and the state of this country (healthcare, economy, drugs, disease, confusion) how do you feel about the last five years? In the end was it all work it? in my mind it isn't and won't be, in fact it is absolutely pointless- Bush cannot decide who his target is- bin laden, saddam, irag, afghanistan, iran....but im interested to know you opinions. PLEASE!!! no ignorant political mud-slinging! everybody is entitled to their own opinion, allow them to express it!!! The most honest wins the 10 pts...

In my heart of hearts, this is what I think.

Bush went after Saddam for personal reasons. One of them was the unfinished business from the Gulf War.

The other reason was I really believe he thought our government could turn Iraq into a democracy. If we were successful in that, we would have a strong hold on the Middle East... we would have "Friends" as President Bush likes to call our allies.

This war is more of a personal vendetta and a way of securing oil.

WHERE Is Osama Bin Laden???

Our soldiers have done the job assigned to them. They need to come home... we need them here.

i would be unable to help yet ask your self what number of the individuals who weigh in on a question like this have: a) been to Iraq, Afghanistan, or the different front the place we are battling against terrorism and extremism, or b) ever lifted a finger to make contributions to the "conflict on Terror(ism)", or c) have the different adventure which validates their comments, different than having watched information memories approximately it on television or learn it on the information superhighway. talking from adventure, maximum people who've certainly fought in this actual conflict be attentive to that it is so plenty greater actual than human beings decrease back residing house care to admit. certainty is a important inconvenience while it destroys dearly-held preconceived notions.

I prefer to look at the good President Bush has brought about.... (he could have done much worse) but I think that when he goes out of office and God help us if Senator Clinton or a Democrat gets in, but there may be another terrorist attack on the U.S. If a Democrat gets in office....... the terrorist are gonna celebrate!!

The "War on terror" is unfortunately being waged by the largest terrorist organisation in the world, the U.S. government, so it will never be over.
