They will be the most hated and the most loved at the same time. People either hate 'em or love 'em.

They will always be hated by those who hate their success, which had made the franchise the most valuable in sports, which in turn allows them to spend more money than anyone else, which makes people hate them more.
It's a vicious circle, and I understand how many fans of other teams don't like the fact that the Yankees have compiled an incredible record of wins and playoff appearances, but these are the same people who claim the Yankees "suck" because they haven't won it all lately. These are the same losers whose team hasn't seen the playoffs in decades.
Personally, there is enough hate out there- root for your own team whoever they are and leave the Yankees alone!
Of course, some of the fans, myself included, hate the Yankees management, especially the pathetic way they just treated Torre, but I will forever be a fan of the team.

I really don't care of people hate the Yankees. That is NEVER going to stop me from being a fan. Will they or won't they, I could care less.

Yes!!!.........No, not because they're cocky..........You've never heard them say "Who cares???.......There's always next year!!!"........That's cocky and ridiculous.......They don't predict they'll win and the don't down the teams they play against........They're not cocky and I adamently disagree with anyone who thinks they are.........Will they always be hated??......Yes.......Why???........Because they've won 26 World Series Championships, because they've had the best of the best on their teams throughout the years, Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, Ford, Munson,etc........Whether they've been bought or home grown they're the most watched, most marketed and most talked about team in baseball......It's called the "Green-Eyed Monster" and where the Yanks are concerned that monster's head is always raised.......CAT

As long as Steinbrenner owns the team...and since they let Torre go, I think some of their own FANS will hate them now...The ones that liked Torre...I liked Torre, and I'm a Red Sox fan...

To tell you the truth it's not the players who to hate, The entire STEINBRENNER'S FAMILY,INCLUDING LEVINE ,CASHMAN and all of those involve with Joe Torres case !
