I need to buy an external hard drive to back up my sony vaio laptop, but am clueless on what to buy. I'm looking for something with more than 100 gb, but would like to spend less than $100. Any recommendations?

I would highly recommend a Seagate FreeAgent drive - by the largest you can with your budget, if that's $100 look for the largest in that range!
