I'd sing them a song by Adam Green

" there's no wrong way to fu ck a girl with no legs, just tell her you love her as she's crawling away..."

This is really bad, bad, bad...
Has our society really come to this?
Now it's prejudices against the disabled, the significantly disabled? By significant, do you mean blind, deaf, no arms, in a wheel chair? All these things can happen to anyone, even you. Then the question would be asked by your friends and you would leave them alone, learn that they were not friends to start out with.

As a disabled "lassy" - can I just point out that maybe I might CHOOSE not to date a man who cared more about the opinions of his bigoted friends than being with me just because he liked me.

You make it sound somehow like the disabled "lassy" would not be particular in who she chose to be with.

Hey, Malinky....what would your mates think then if you were married and your wife became disabled through illness or accident? Would you divorce her because of it or would you see beyond it? There are many different forms of disability and as you don't specify what "significantly disabled" actually means it could refer to absolutely anything. Hopefully you would be the sort of lad who wouldn't care what his mates said or thought.

Anyone who puts his friends feelings ahead of his GF's still has an awful lot of growing up to do. You seem to see women not as people, human beings who have feelings but as a trophy to parade in front of your friends to make them envious - this is the way a 12 year old thinks IMO.

By saying "be honest" you reveal what YOU think, and its really immature. I would suggest your dont go out with ANY "lassy" disabled or otherwise because you arent mature enough to handle a real relationship.

Thank God most men arent as shallow and immature as you are.

if you love this lassy and are truly devoted to her and you are aware of the limitations -- it just is your life and hers -- .......... ask yourself if you can be the one man in her life and can you be there always ... .... this is a relationship that at times may require you to be more man than you perceive yourself to be at this moment .... ask her if she is willing to be the same loving and giving person that you want to be -------- whatever anyone else can conjure up in their minds that is negative to the two of you just ain't important and does not matter if you got real true devoted LOVE..... if her disability is a problem to any of your friends then I would have to consider that these """"problem friends """ are not friends and they should be ignored and perhaps forgotten ... .love her and make a new life with her and always be together in love ...

if you really do fancy/love the girl in question, your friends would be idiots if they told you not to go out with her just because she has a disability.

If I really cared for someone that was disabled, everyone else could go and take a running Jump!

So only lasses are disabled then? Funny I didn't know that, yet I've been working with disabled people over 20 years. As my Mother was also disabled I find the question insulting!!!!!
My SON says if his friends didn't like it they should keep their opinions to themselves or they wouldn't be his friends much longer!
He, like his Grandfather and Step-Grandfather see beyond the outward appearance of a person. (In his Grandfathers case it's a good job really or neither of us would be here!!!!!!)

Anybody can become disabled - what would you say/do if one of these so called mates becomes disabled? what would they say/do if you became disabled or their girlfriends did? In fact your immaturity would seem to be a disability - hopefully it won't be permanent!

I'm sure my friends would wonder about it, but they wouldn't say a word unless they wanted an *** beatin'. I think most people look past the disability and see the content of that persons character. Anyone who does less, isn't worth my time. 'Cept for the *** beatin I mentioned.
