English people are not able to to what the rest of the world does, which is separate Bush from the American people. The English assume that we are pro Bush. They think, we voted him in office. We operate out of an electoral college system and not individual votes. It is possible for a candidate to have more votes as still lose the presidential race. GB cannot relate to this. Bush has humiliated the USA time and time again. He is disliked by many in his own party. He is intentionally trying to weaken the moral fiber of America to implement his One World Government. His father talked about it, and he is trying to actualize it. The world hates him, and we know that it gives us a bad name nationally. However, If Arabs can say that Americans are nice but Bush is the devil, why can't our So-Called ally. Should you all be judged by the action of your leaders, or does (commom sense) dictate that I delineate between the two. "Wisdom has eluded her children."

I dont know how your government works and its probably the same with most brits so you probably get tarred with the same brush as George. I don't hate Americans, nothing wrong with them :) I only hate Bush. I assume lots of ppl feel the same way about Brits then, because, if what your saying is correct, that ppl judge the whole nation because of their government, they cant think much of us brits either because our prime minister is a wa*ker too!
I was talking to an American girl on a chat site and when she realised i was in the UK she said she didnt want to talk to me. it works both ways
Dont worry about it, don't let it bother you, it doesn't bother me. it could be worse, at least we're not trying to blow each other up ;) As our help to you when and if you ever need it is much appreciated, your is to us :) its comments from ppl like 'philip h' and 'lilliput' at the bottom of the page that make some ppl feel the way they do

I think one of the major problems with Democracy in america is people elect on the basis of charisma. It's a problem in the UK too but maybe not to the same extent. Bush and Blair are overly ambitious in roles that require steady heads.
Nobody goes down in the history books for keeping peace and tranquility.. Improving infrastructure, education etc.. However winning a war well thats got lots of prestige....
Therein lies the problem with modern democracy. Another one of lifes ironies.. those who should be in power don't get the votes. Imagine what the UK would have been like if Kinnock had beat Thatcher..? We'd still own our national resources we would still be in control of our infrastructure...
Maybe now enough people will pay attention to their nations governments to really access who they are voting for.. However I doubt it... they are more likely to be drawn in by who makes the best cutting remarks about the opposition.
When I think of a better system I will let you know till then just be grateful we still have some power to fight the Aristocracy.

Wow - let's ask a question criticising a huge generalisation by... making a huge generalisation.
How nice of you to tell us what all the English do and what we think and how we aren't making quite simple logical deductions.
And incidentally the opposite also holds true. Many arabs don't think Americans are nice. Certainly on the internet many Americans, Bush supporters or not, don't appear very nice.
Maybe sweping generalisations aren't really the way to go here, eh?

People I have met on the internet from the UK that are anti American are usually very pro socialist, and have a bad case of being illiterate (bad spelling and unreadable posts.) Is there a link there? I have no idea.
The reason it confuses Americans is we Yanks view the Brits like our brothers. Kinda hard to understand the hate filled sentiment when we realize you guys do not share the same view.

Why do all american s hate all Iraq"s? Human nature I suppose...Its easier to hate than to actually put out an effort to try and understand and get along with people in spite of there government, which cant be helped or changed once the damage is realized and done. Brits seem to be catagorize one bad apple with the lot of them, hate Bush if you want, but leave americans out of it, were all individuals

The once great nation of Great Britain is busy flushing itself down the toilet of failed Marxism and giving away their nation to terrorists, and all they can do is rail against George Bush and America?
Just remember that the NEXT time you Brit's want America to bail you out of your troubles!

I like visiting England. If I thought the English people disliked me (like they are rude in France) then I would visit and spend my money there. I have always found them to be helpful, nice and very interested in Americans. Especially if we are enjoying our visit to merry ole England.

Understand that any hostility you may be experiencing is probably with just cause. If the American nation was less self-obsessed, and cared more about the world in general, then the world might just take a little more notice.

I'm not sure you understand - we brits dislike George W. as much as we dislike most other Americans.
It has nothing to do with politics - HE just makes a good scapegoat to stand for the American people as a whole.
