No not Nepal. It's not the country with the highest altitudes but the one furthest east in relation to the International Dateline. Sudan was wrong as well. Berring Sea? What are you nuts?

1. Can't tell, really. It can be Japan, as they claim. Some say it's Tonga, some say it's Kiribati (first to experience the new millenium).
Japan, which is also known as the "Land of the Rising Sun"
- Japan is the very first country to experience sunrise everyday.

It's a few minutes from Leicester Square Tube, which is the heart of London, so it is close to anything to could possibly wish for, from Haagen-Daz ice cream parlour to sex-shops. There's all the second-hand bookshops on Charing Cross Road, and endless cinemas and theatres. Try Keb Darge's Legendary Deep Funk night, every Friday at Madame JoJo's, 8-10 Brewer Street, or take in something interesting at the Photographers' Gallery, 5 and 8 Great Newport Street. You could even go see The Mousetrap, the longest running play in the world. On Moor Street itself, the highlight is probably Eds Easy Diner. Just off Leicester Square is the French Cathedral, Notre Dame de Londres. Easy to miss but a lovely quiet spot amid the bustle.

Conflict! I had to find out which answer was right. It turns out, both of the above were incorrect.
a) Russia http://www.funtrivia.com/askft/Question38872.html
Here http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/features/mapcenter/map.aspx?TextLatitude=28.720854983649193&TextLongitude=-7.623089650997727&TextAltitude=6&TextSelectedEntity=20848&MapStyle=Comprehensive&MapSize=Large&MapStyleSelectedIndex=0&searchTextMap=kamchatka&MapStylesList=Comprehensive&ZoomOnMapClickCheck=on you can see the portion that they are talking about, where the international date line is far more east than at any other point.
b) Karachi (#2, LA #41) http://www.mongabay.com/cities_pop_01.htm
c) Trick question http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_and_outlying_territories_by_area if include only the internationally approved territory, less than U.S. If include territory currently being administered by China, more than U.S.
Another view:
US https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/us.html
China https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ch.html
US total area (not just land): 9,826,630 sq km
US total area (land only): 9,161,923 sq km
China total area (not just land): 9,596,960 sq km
China total area (land only): 9,326,410 sq km
Thus, China has more land, but the U.S. covers more area (larger in square miles with more internal bodies of water). U.S. wins when answering the question without reading anything into it.
d) coltan (not coltran). Most *produced* by Australia, but most *reserves* (80% known) appear to be in the Congo. Another trick question. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coltan
e)
1) Immediately north: there are several, but the Aegean is the southernmost sea bordering the Mediterranean Other seas north of the Mediterranean but bordering (connected): Ligurian, Tyrrhenian, Adriatic, Ionian. http://encarta.msn.com/map_701514601/Mediterranean_Sea.html use zoom and look along the northern coast of Mediterranean
2) Immediately east: the closest sea to the western border of the Mediterranean is the Dead Sea. Look in Israel at the map link above. Then, zoom out so that you can see that the Red Sea is definitely *entirely* south of the Mediterranean
3) Immediately south: the Red Sea is the most northern sea that is south of the Mediterranean (south of the eastern portion of the Mediterranean).
4) Just for fun, Alboran Sea is immediately west.
