Most Mum's would love a home made card/gift, 'cos it means more than anything bought, even something simple like a calendar with different cool pics of things she likes for each month of the year. You could print some at school/college, or the library if you can't draw very well. Another creative gift idea is a papier mache vase, painted, decorated and varnished, and some flowers made with various things, such as coloured paper, pipecleaners and plastecine to hold the flowers in the vase.
The other best gift would have to be breakfast in bed, pots washed, house cleaned/tidied without being asked!
Good luck with the perfect gift. Just remember it's the thought, time and effort that count, not the cost!

Why not do what we did one year for my husband's Mother...we took the 12 days of Christmas,,,ending on Christmas and gave her a small gift each day to open..well, we actually gave them to her at the beginning of the 12 days and she got such a great time from that..

She would call up all excited each day about the one she had opened..it doesn't have to be much,,,,a new bar of special soap,,,,an inexpensive piece of jewelry,,,a gadget for the kitchen,,,,a little something from the dollar store...candy...hand lotion...that sort of thing...wrap them individually and put on a pretty bow...

You have plenty of time to gather these before Christmas....so make it special....just put all of them in a box and tell her to open one a day...don't date them..half the fun, she had, was choosing which one to open...Make Christmas Day,,,a little more special than the rest.....

Since you still have a good amount of time, start paying real good attention to your mom. If she remarks about something she sees on TV, or talks about something she saw at the store, write it down so you don't forget. I do that all through the year and keep my notes in a shoebox. People are shocked but more than that, they are so happy that I actually paid attention to them. Try it!

i got pic's takin of the family for mam and dad last year..they were trilled...they have them up on the walls and love them...they can be quite expensive but it all depends on what you go for..
you should defo look into it...or a chain and locket can be very personal....get some pic and put them into it...of people that mean the most to your mam

Try painting her a picture.
I know it sounds kindergarten, but if you show her that you still care like you did then, it'll mean a lot more to her.
You could frame it, so she won't have to take time and look for a frame herself.
