stood up to the chicago tribune with the dewey defeats truman headline. it showed future presidents the power of not giving up under villification as the pelosi/reid regime is doing to bush today.

He created the old saying, "The buck stops here". In other words, he promoted personal responsibility, not only in himself, but in those who worked with him and for him. He did not accept excuses from anyone...not like Bush and the Hurricane Katrina situation...where he blamed everyone but himself.
