Ok....apparently the people above either dont watch football, or just pay attention to the pats, colts, and cowboys.
Alex Smith - out
V. Davis - Returning
When they are both back in action gore will get better. Look at the 49ers as a baltimore ravens type team. Top end TE (Heap/Davis) There go to Veteran (D.Mason/D. Jackson) And I top end RB (McGahee/Gore) They play similiar offenses, so when Alex Smith returns and is able to spread the ball Gore will do fine.

Gore isn't the problem, his team is. The Niners offense is terrible. Their passing game is horrid, so opponents are just loading 8 or 9 guys at the line of scrimmage. Gore has nowhere to run. That's probably not going to change over the course of this season. He might become slightly more productive if the passing game can get moving at all, or if they can find a way to include Gore in the passing game himself. But regardless, his value is not going to come near the projections.

before I read the second part of your question (Frank Gore), I thought you were talking about AL GORE, vice president under Slick Willie. Gore could get into the 2008 Dem contest--he would sure have a better chance than Hillarious. After all, he WON the popular vote in 2000.

No probably not but somebody might be willing to trade him based on his name. The 49ers have a bad offense, and defenses will stack eight in the box against him. Its not a good year to have a high draft pick or at least not 2-4 where Jackson LJ and Gore were taken, but I still have faith in Jackson and LJ , but not for Gore

Gore was massively overhyped coming into the season. Geez...I saw him go as high as 3rd and 4th in a couple leagues. What you see now from Gore is what you can expect this season and possibly down the road if the Niners do not improve their overall offense.

Gore is awesome, he just the rest of the offense to do something. I am a 9ers FAN and I think he could be there RB ever, if they add to the offense as a total.
