Society shouldn't dictate what you do. I don't want a car.

I am fifteen too and I don't have a cell phone or a myspace. It doesn't mean you are weird. I am sure you have heard horror stories about myspace, so you are safer then other kids. Trust me, it's a lot better to have a few close friends then have a zillion who don't really care about you. Don't think you are weird just because you don't have those things. There is soooooooooo much more important stuff in the world to deal with. Hope I helped.

It's weird that your thinking of your cell phone as just an item that will show off how many contacts you have. A cell phone should be used to communicate, not to show everyone how many friends you have. You may need one to communicate with your parents or in emergencies. You should get a cell phone only if there is a lack of communication with someone that you to communicate with.
As for the myspace, don't get one. It is a waste of time that you could be using for more beneficial activities. Plus, is has been used to get lots of teens in trouble, so not getting a myspace is a good choice.

No you're realistic and don't feel the need to constantly blabber... about nothing of real importance.
Most kids don't NEED a cell phone they just want one...some for convenience and some just for a status symbol....I think most.
That you don't need all this attention from cell phones and myspace, is actually very mature.
It says that you are secure enough with yourself that you don't need artificial contentment and/or attention. Sounds like you might just grow up to be a man someday.
Tell the parents, thank for raising you when grow up...they'll really appreciate it , mom will probably cry.

No, i don't think it's weird.
myspace makes me sick! it's like everyone's just trying to show off how many "buddies" they have... like it's possible to have 250 close friends. I have a cell phone--with lots of contacts, but there are only about 4 numbers I actually call.

no its not wierd. Sometimes it feels wierd.
its normal because im exactly like you.
my mom wants to get me an Iphone but i said no, it would be a waste considering i wouldn't really call anyone.
same goes with myspace. it doesnt really mattter if you have millions of friends, what matter is you know all the friends you have in it. Ü

Boy oh, boy. I was like you when I was in my teens. I didn't want a cellphone too! But over time I realized that it is that important since you will be using a lot of it when you're in college!
Nah it's still normal. People might tell you it's weird but it's not weird.

no, actually that's not weird some people are just not into cellphones, but i get what you mean, it's no big deal cellphones aren't that great, and it'd be a waste just to have a phone lying around without you using it, but a cell would help in emergencies.

No...I don't think that's strange at all. But you should consider getting one so that the important people in your life can reach you or so that you can reach them if you really need them. I'm 22 and my phone definitely does not have a million people in it. Mostly my mother, father, and sisters call me...but my phone doesn't ring all the time, everyday...AND THAT is GREAT! my bill is always reasonable and I get to concentrate on homework, TV, reading, and sleeping without being constantly interrupted. Don't be self-conscious about not having many contacts...I don't either...but I know those who are important to me can reach me at any time.

That's not weird..... it's great that you are not pushed into things that you don't want just because....
I think you are going to be wealthy.... I saw Warren Buffington on TV the other day.... (He just gave several billion to charity, again)..... He said he still lives in his small three bedroom home, he does not have a cell phone and he does not have a computer at his home.
