For a Deist, an impersonal infinite force responsible in some what for the state of our universe, its existance, and its maintainance.
For aTheist, all of the above but personified, and with intention/self awareness.
Various other definitions:
God is extension (ie, 3 dimensional space upon or in which everything occurs), so omnipresent
This by definition means he has a dual existence with all matter, and can therefore be said to be omniscient in that all things occur within him, and he knows them.
God is love: Always been a bit uncertain about this one.... But at the least most theistic religions posit God as posessing the capability to love, and using it occasionally.
God is the Alpha and Omega: Well these two mean the beginning and ending. Of everything. So he caused the big bang, and will cause the big crunch. And represents our beginning and ending
God is us: Works two ways.
Either God is a creation of the human mind, necessitated by our desire to have explanations for the unknown. E.g, in 15/1600's: What makes lightning? Oh, God does. Simple really.
So an atheists view there.
Or, God made us, in his image or no, and is therefore manifest in everything we do.
God is the underlying conceptual point or field on which every possibility is realized. Or the underlying energy/force of the universe.
Or, because at the subatomic level things exist as both particle and wave, God is the sum or mean frequency of all of the waves in the universe.
Just a few ideas. Hope they helped.

God is not in the universe She is the universe.
She created the universe from the only thing that She had available, Herself. There is no point where God stops and something else starts.
You and the most distant star from you in the universe both exist within the idea of God. God is experiencing through all of us all of the time.
This is a difficult concept for most people to comprehend because they have been taught nonsense about God. Like the idea that God lives far away on a cloud called heaven. God is not a raindrop. Raindrops live in clouds Not God. This is foolishness.
Jesus told us that the kingdom of God is within us. This is true because each and every one of us exist as a part of God. We live and move within our loving source. There is no moment or possibility that we can ever be apart from her.
Forget the silly stories that you have been told about a distant God that lives in the clouds. Look around you. Everything and everyone that you see is God.
Love and blessings.

God is an entity too complicated for mortal minds to comprehend (hense the disbelief). If I where to compare it to something, and keep in mind this is the best way I can verbalize it. God is the collective GOOD energy that initiated the entire COSMOS (way beyond the Universe) it is not tangelble by human comprehension. God is God and that is why humans take him on faith because if God poored even a fraction of his essence on a mortal human it would "Blow your Mind".
God is God and if a man could comprehend it he would write a book and make millions. I guess the closest we'll ever come to that is the Bible.

More important than what is who. God is personal. God is selfless love. 1 John 4: 8. You can actually read the whole 4th chapter it is less than a page long. if you read it do it slowly untill you get a good insight of what God menas to tell you. If you do that, I think you will very good.

Most major religions look at God is the creator of all things. God is in the design of the universe... God is the reason mathematics work, the reason scientific laws interrelate perfectly with one another. Maybe that's it ... God is Perfection.
I don't know. Personally, I believe that the concept of God is too complex for us to fully understand or appreciate.

God is the Creator of the Universe.. He's Yahweh.. The Alpha and the Omega.. He's not just an idea or concept but he's more real than anything we know. He's omniscient and omnipresent. He's the giver of life and is perfect in love. He's fair and just and has a son named Jesus, who died for us bc of His agape/unconditional love.

He was drunk and was playing a game with some friends. Whoever made a universe that substantially disbelieves in a creator wins.

God is the best father a human being can have. He created us, He understands all our needs, He is the beginning and the end, He is our friend in need, our hope, our ray of light.
He protects us, He punishes us. We are grains of sand.He is the Truth.
