Recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, not the contemporary jazz, which I don't care for much, but older jazz (early-mid 20th century) such as the kind performed by Thelonious Monk, Dave Brubeck and Vince Guaraldi.

Thanks!

I really enjoy John Coltrane - we have a couple of his CD's and I never get tired of hearing them. I really love his version of 'In A Sentimental Mood'.

The CD 'John Coltrane for Lovers' is a nice album - it's available on Amazon and not too expensive from what I remember.

If you are interested in jazz guitarists one I would recommend checking out is Wes Montgomery. I also like some of the music by Ramsey Lewis.
