All the time, sometimes it is my own obnoxiousness that embarrasses me.

Yes.
So many people just write off the other party as being stupid or ignorant instead of actually listening to their views. It's really pathetic.
For example, someone once asked the difference between conservatives and liberals (genuinely, I'm sure), and some of the answers were downright nasty. It's really sad how conservatives and liberals stereotype each other. And the funny part is, both groups usually claim the other to be ignorant, controlling, and 'closet homosexuals' (though why so many people insist that's a horrible insult is beyond me).

Since I don't consider myself either a conservative or a liberal -- no. Because what others say reflects on them more than anyone else. I just deal with people as individuals.
I do feel sorry for some people who cannot seem to think logically -- and who are unwilling to consider new information on important matters -- but being closed-minded is a choice -- at either end of the spectrum.

No, all the conservatives I know on this site are reasonable, logical, educated, and intelligent people. Otherwise they'll be liberals.
