This is my first baby, so this is all a bit confusing. I woke up today with some tightening, cramping pain in my lower waist all the way around to my back. I believe those are contractions and was having then about 10 minutes apart. They weren't too strong and didn't didn't last too long. Now they are starting to slow down. I was going to go on a walk in a bit to see if that might help get them going again. Has this happened to anybody? Is there a chance that they will come back and begin labor? Thank you!!!! :)

If they go away, you are not in labor. When you are in labor, contractions continue and get closer together in timing and last longer. When your contractions are 5min apart or less, have increased in intensity, they are consistent for more than 2 hours and they don't go with any rest---then you are in labor and thats when you decide to go in to the hospital. You might be experiencing some early labor, so just wait till your contractions are closer together and continue and are consistent!

It sounds like you are in the beginning stages of labor. If you have more regular contractions another way of checking to see if these ones are the real thing is to have a warm bath and if they are real the contractions should get much stronger
this is what happened to me,....... a walk is good too, just dont wear yourself out because labor is hard work and you are going to need your strength
good luck

Yes, go for a walk but stay close to home. If you start to feel any pressure in the perineum go back home and call the doctor! Don't eat anything and drink some water to stay hydrated. If you are really unsure, call your doctor. He or she can have you come in and they can check to see if you are dialating. At least you would know for sure. Good luck!

They may just be braxton hicks, but doesn't sound like it will long, your time is near.If the get 5 minutes apart for at least 1 hour watch them close and time them. If you lay down and they ease up, its not the real thing.

I’ve talked to a couple ladies that experience performed each and, there’s no telling whether or not it’s going to harm or now not. Statistically, the farther alongside you're, the extra it'll harm, however I’ve heard from ladies that miscarried as early as five and six weeks that harm plenty extra. Totally is determined by your frame

If its not around your due date, they just maybe "growing pains" . I ran to the doctor several times because if this. If it were contractions/labor you would know.
