In theory. They would need some awful impressive wins and LSU and Oregon would have to lose another game and Arizona State, Ohio State, Boston College and Kansas would all have to lose a game

Top 10 on the gambler ratings ...

1 Ohio State
2 LSU
3 Kansas
4 Arizona State
5 Boston College
6 Oklahoma
7 Oregon
8 Southern Cal
9 Florida
10 South Florida

Yes. Cal just lost there 2nd game in a row, so they have no chance of making it. If USC can run the table, they have a very good chance. After today USC should be back in the top 10. If LSU loses one more game (which can very well happen!!) they will not have a chance at the National Championship. With all the losses this year of top 10 teams, it is going to be a free for all for the national title. Right now is the time for great football teams to step it up. Expect a few more losses from top 10 teams this year. So once Again if USC can run the table, they still have a chance for the National Title.....

i'm a Cal fan and became very dissatisfied while USC beat Cal. although, i'm a %10 fan so became happy while USC beat Notre Dame. USC is initiating to top on the incredible time. They started out sluggish interior the initiating of the season - triumphing interior the 2d a million/2 in many of their video games. in the event that they beat UCLA, then they could desire to be interior the BCS Championship pastime.

So does many other one loss teams. If Cal beats USC and wins out I would not be surprised to see them in the championship game. Wins against USC at Oregon and Tennessee and only one loss should be enough to get into the championship game.

I'd say the chances for USC are slim. The chances are better for Cal, OU, LSU. Of course, none of these teams will make it if Ohio State and BC go undefeated. Although I'm sure Boston College will lose to VT and Ohio State to Michigan or Penn State.

They can but they're going to need some help.

Of course, their absolute whitewashing of Notre Dame, who had looked a little better in the past couple of weeks, indicates that the Trojans might be getting healthy again and are still a force to reckon with in the Pac Ten and in the national picture.

only if every team in front of them lose 2 games and USC wins out.

Not when they lose one or two more games. If they manage to go with only one loss they would be.

They will have to blow out everyone they play to regain any respect to the voters. They don't deserve to play after losing to Stanford, a total meltdown. At least they found a QB that can play, I guess Booty can hold the clipboard.
