Since your doctor is telling you everything is ok, then I'm assuming you are talking about 3 cm in length. That is perfectly normal.

No, they thought my cervix was short in length after getting my first u/s at 21 weeks, come to find out the baby was head down at the time so they just got a bad measurement.. 3-4 is normal length for cervix.. the worse that could happen is the doctor could put you on bedrest if your cervix gets any shorter.. good luck!

I am presuming you mean 3cm in LENGTH and not that you are DILATED to 3cm. Am I right? If so, then no, there is no reason to be concerned at this point. A normal, full-length cervix is usually 3-4cm in length.
If you're dilated to 3cm, that is troubling, and your doctor would have had PLENTY to say to you in that case, you'd probably be on bedrest at the least, and maybe medications too.

What did your obgyn have to say about it? If they are not worried I would not be either. I would try to keep my feet elevated and take it easy though. I was 3 cm dilated for the last 6 weeks of my second pregnancy. You could be a little further along than 20 weeks too so I would just talk to my ob and see what they have to say about it.

What is your doctor saying? I am 37 weeks with my 2nd child and not even 1 cm yet. So I would talk to the doctor and make sure all is well. Good luck!!

Well your cervix is shortening and your doctor will have to keep an eye on that!

Was your doctor worried? If not, then you shouldn't be either.
