After a time, you should release most of it, including the good. The reasoning: you'll have expectations that could prevent you from viewing other experiences as good as the past. You want to be able to have room for new. I wouldn't worry too much about what to leave behind. The human memory is pretty good at letting things fade on their own (barring any problems that need counseling or medication).

You should leave that particular experience with your past relationship. Never bring anything from your past relationships into new ones.

THE PAST!

If you are looking behind you - you can't see the blessings ahead of you!
