Time on such scatology as some fictional character, in a fictional novel.
Seems to this ol' man, that this was prevailant during the Anna Nicol Smith death with HOURS & HOURS of repiticous meanderings, and repiticious 'speculations'!
It is bad enough that the other NEWS " MANGLERS" NETWORKS choose / select what "news" to broadcast, but now FAUX has joined the crowd of scatology slingers !!!!!
MAYBE, MAYBE 2% of mature, intellegent American's cares what happens to Brittany (what a phony), Paris ( another even larger phony), or such tripe.
How much worse is this going to get ???
Hell, if it wasn't for BBC, Radio Australia, and those, we Americans would not be informed on any important happens that do concern us, UNLESS IT HAS A ""POSSABLE IMPACT"" on one of the political monkey candidates .
OOOHHHHH, I am Sorry, I forgot about The Master Of The World's Receiving THE NOBEL PRIZE, for spreading fear that we Americans are guilty of ALL polution in the whole world !!!

If you get your TV via satellite (DirecTV or Dish) there's the LINK TV channel, it's like a PBS station so they don't make their news 'entertaining'. Democracy Now! and Mosaic are my favorite news programs. Mosaic is taken from various news sources throughout the Middle East which gives a different perspective than we get in the US. Democracy Now! link below shows recent program headlines.

It's an election season. Any news is good news. Except when you degrade the second in line for the Democratic nomination... interesting math. The story had no bite. Yet it was extorted. Hillary Clinton has Darth Vader for a Campaign Manager. Patty Solis-Doyle. Then the dark force employs over 400 storm troopers. Anything negative expect Hillary '08 is behind it. Even her own hits. She is in thick with Rupert Murdoch (Google murdoch-clinton). It's all planned political strategy. Welcome to the world of politics. What pin? Who cares? He said too much and was caught off guard by a brownie reporter. That is the point. He did not handle the heat. (Round table ABCNews This Weekend w/ George Stephanopoulos) Hillary '08 gets more empathy as she is perceived attacked. Oh Scarlet!! 13 yrs of pressure.... blabla hahaha here and there. Just a song and dance. Thanks.

The old grey fox just ain't what he used to be. I stopped watching Fox News about a year ago when I found out they were "beefing" up or "padding" stories. I like the news like everyone else but I like the truth. We all are intelligent and know that the media is a congolmorant that is owned by some billionaire and exists for nothing more than the almight dollar bill. But Fox lost my eyes a while ago. You are right though. During and after Anna Nicole they just went completly downhill. I don't care about Anna or Britney or any of the rest of the mess. I want to know about my country. What is happening in the world around me. Fox needs to become another Entertainment Network. They no longer consistenly deliver news!!!

There has always been a large market for stories about Anna Nicholes, and Brittanys, and so on. People find comfort in the fact that people who have acheived some aspect of success (namely, financial success) still have no integrity, self-control, and lead twisted sordid lives that are personal Hells of their own making.

It makes people feel good about their own lives. If you wanted to ask why Fox is so obviously partisan, you should have asked it that way and left out the nonsense that is everywhere and that pre-dates television.

You're right! I can't stand Anna Nicol Smith, Paris and Britney Spears. I watch it very little anymore.

I have to agree with you about the state of network news in the US. I'm also tired of hearing "news" stories about Britney, OJ, etc. The real news hardly gets reported. BBC is much better.

Faux News panders to feebs.

Akk that "National Enquirer" stuff keeps their trailer-dwelling viewers glued to the TV until it's time for the next commercial.

It's to divert audiences from the news that reflects negatively against their platform.

When did they ever "stick" to news?

They were born of Karl Rove's swift boat liar scam and they've only humiliated themselves more since.
