Even knowing what it is will not cure it. You need to see a gynecologist.

What part of the anatomy is a virgina? I can't imagine having a lump somewhere that I was willing to take the advice of 13 year olds on Yahoo. You can die from things like that. You have to go to the doctor. No question about it.

If you are a minor (meaning under age 18) you need to let your mom know first so that she can help you as well and get you to the doctor to have this lump evaluated further. I know you are not comfortable with the idea of going to the doctor but they are the only one that can tell you what it is and what's causing it.

u should get that checked out it could be a lymph node... here is what a lymph node is and some background:
Lymph nodes (lymph glands) play an important part in the body’s defense against infection. Swelling might occur even if the infection is trivial or not apparent. By far the most common cause of lymph node enlargement is infection. Generally speaking (there are exceptions), lymph node enlargement due to infections tend to be tender and mobile while those due to malignancy are generally nontender, hard and may become immobile.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Classification
Lymph node enlargement can be classified as either localized or generalized:

Localized enlargement
Lymph node enlargement is restricted to one lymph node area.

Cervical (neck) lymph node enlargement
Axillary (arm pit) lymph node enlargement
Epitrochlear lymph node enlargement
Inguinal (groin) lymph node enlargement
Femoral lymph node enlargement

Generalized enlargement
Lymph node enlargement is found across multiple lymph node areas.

Causes and evaluation of generalized enlargement
N.B. Small soft glands (less than 1cm in diameter) are commonly palpable in normal people especially children.

How could we possibly tell you what it is?? We are not doctors and even if we were, it would have to be seen to be diagnosed.

Get over feeling embarrassed... doctors have seen EVERYTHING and really don't care. They're not gonna judge you. Go to the doctor!! It could save your life. Most things like that don't go away on their own, they only get worse and get bigger....

You have to go to the doctor. There's no way any of us here on yahoo can tell you what it is, or how to treat it. It's possible that it's vaginitis, or genital warts, but only your doctor will be able to tell you for sure, and help you treat it.

Good Luck! :-)
