i mean come on, i go on here, see an easy question, then there are so many shitty answers that the ONE correct one is simply overlooked. i wish there was a rule like "must be officially certified to answer questions in certain fields."

like if i have a question about a new ford 6.4 twin turbo diesel, i do not even want anyone to try, unless they are certified by ford to know exactly what i need to know. does that sound reasonable?

not only that, an easy questiong gets 20 answers in the first hour, yet when i asked about a price on a part, 6 days, no answers, because yahoo answers auto section is full of morons searching for 2 points.

LOL Stop Sine!!! This guy is right... I have seen questions where they have 19 answers validating some whiner's 'question' about whether or not they got ripped off on an auto repair, and ONE answer tucked away in all that mess that accurately displayed the Mitchell, Alldata, and Chilton labor exactly right, the price of the part from GM, GmPartsDirect, Autozone, etc right down to the penny, and they are given thumbs down because everyone else wanted to make this chick feel better by agreeing that she got ripped off, then what does she do? Choose as the best answer the guy who told her to get a lawyer... Ridiculous!! I don't answer questions where it seems they will choose the answer that is closest to exactly what they want to hear. Sometime the best answer isn't what you want to hear, but is 100% true and accurate.

well its true everybody thinks they know about cars but they are merely passin on experience like what happen to they own cars and just becuz you are certifed means you are qualified to answer a question i was born with a wrench in my hand but i'm not certified and i have my own mobile mechanic business i have been working on cars now for 16 years and i'm 29 now my dad has been doing it for 35 plus and he isnt certified either certification only means you passed a test any fool can read a book and do that. and nobody really wants to answer a parts question when all you can do is type in autozone and they will give you the exact price of the part. and i agree about the ford parts of your question all manufacturers arent the same the ford is one of the toughest so people should stay away from those question if they dont know anything about fords

Well since the general public are morons when it comes to knowing anything about cars what do you expect. Some of the questions on here are so stupid there hilarious. As far as only the experts answering, why should they give away there hard earned years of experience to you for free. Considering your source for answers is free you have to expect what you get for free is going to be poor.
