Looked out my window at 3am, to see one of two drunken revellers jumping all over my car and my neighbours' cars - four that I saw.
I ran out and sure enough, there was a BIG dent in my bonnet and two big dents in my roof, complete with footprints... my car is a little over one year old and cost A LOT of money - took me eight years to trade up to the level I'm at...
Once the red haze cleared from my eyes (!) I hopped into the car, tracked the ba*stards, phoned the gardai and continued to follow them (at a safe distance, I'm not completely stupid) until the squad car came and arrested him.
I went in today to give a statement, and heard that he admitted to everything, and agreed to pay the damages. Result!
My neighbours knew nothing until I told them, so I reckon we're looking at at least €1500 of a bill, excl replacement cars while the work is being done.
How was your night?

My lad had his car broken into last week, after investigating the damage he found a mobile phone that had fallen out of the pocket of one of the offenders, so now he's printed off all the phone numbers and got all his mates to ring all the numbers off it and giving this lads family hell, Oh and yes he has passed the phone onto the police, but as per normal in England they are "investigating" so don't expect a quick arrest, still in the meantime this lads family and friends are going through hell with call at all times of the day and night, maybe if the police cant act more quickly, then maybe his family and friend will and give the lad a good slap.

Nowhere near as interesting as yours! I spent an hour on MSN with my sister in Australia and my eldest son in Aberdeen on his oil rig. The marvels of modern technology. Then I spent 40 minutes doing my exercises on my left leg, (I had a new hip and knee on 13th August and am getting ready to have the other leg done on 29th - next week). Ironed 2 t shirts a pair of trousers and a nightie then went to bed and read the latest Tess Gerritson before eventually dropping off at around 4.00 am. Probably the same time as you were chasing your hooligan, lol:-D

Thankfully for once I escaped the routine of having to keep an eye on my streets and my garden. Was up at my Grandparents caravan for the night and had a great time!! and thankfully when I came back my house was perfectly safe too!! phew!!
Sorry to hear about your trouble
Glad that you got it all sorted out in the end

Well Done , Joan of Arc ! While you were battling the hooligans , I was peacefully watching ' Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' on TV with a hot cup of coffee ! Coffee ! I did not sleep the entire night !

I spent a quite evening with a good book and a good brand of bourbon.
Sounds as if your night was more exciting! I'm glad you were able to get justice, but I'm sorry you had to deal with this in the first place.

Someone rang my bell at 3am and ran off. When I opened the door, there was a litre of Pernod. Guess what I am doing now!
