I agree with the person who says the holiday has become so commercialized. I'm a student who's been learning a lot about social issues, and I went through a phase the last two Christmases where I just couldn't get excited about it.

But this year I'm already envisioning the holiday. I've learned that the world sucks, and that we each need to do our part to make it as "un-sucky" as possible. Christmas time is a particularly nice time because everyone seems to be like-minded about that - unfortunately, we should think that way all year round.

But we can make a conscious choice NOT to buy into the bull of commercialized hype and hedonistic materialism.

I'm looking forward to relaxing with my family, drinking lots of hot chocolate, watching movies, going to Christmas events, yummy food, and giving back.

A happy, cozy, relaxing, and fun holiday to everyone!

Don't forget to thank the Lord!

I'm trying to get excited about Christmas but since I'm single it's kind of hard at the moment. Since my apt complex doesn't allow real trees (isn't that mean?) I got a lighted wreath from LLBean and only threw it out a week ago! It smelled really good for months and months, came with a big red bow, and didn't lose that many needles for being really old. I love stockings, opening JUST ONE present on Christmas Eve and making lots of good stuff to eat. I watch A Christmas Story on TNT and leave it on in the background. It drives my friends nuts.

Yes, yEs, YeS!!!! I can't wait. I never do anything really different or outlandish, but I just love spending the time with my family. I have been so blessed, and Christmas is a time when I really reflect on my blessings. I also love the music and food! Who doesn't?! I just got my first Christmas CD for the year, NOEL, by Josh Groban. It is great!!!!

Not any more as its too expensive as we are pensioners and grandchildren want stupidly expensive presents costing far more than i get in a year . I give a family check to them which i cant afford and worry then for the next Christmas . Hopefully i wont live much longer .
It used to be fun though

I love Christmas. I love celebrating my Savior's birth. I love the decorations. I love the lights, and I especially love the Christmas music. Christmas is wonderful, and I am looking very forward to Christmas this year.
