Change is sometimes a necessity. This is never more true then when that change is absolutely hated, cursed, and threatened. For generations Nebraska football sustained itself off of a rather simple yet winning strategy. However, the atmosphere of college football has changed and Nebraska hasn't without struggle. Long gone are the Johnny Rodgers, Ernie Griffins, and Jim Browns that carried a team on their shoulders to championship after championship. Today's game is dominated by the QB and WR. It is faster paced, and commercial entities want to see scores and they want to see them immediately.
What is happening in Nebraska is nothing new in regards to the rest of human history. It is a struggle between old and new. Between comfortable and edgy. The survival of Nebraka's storied program rests on it's ability to adapt to this new enviroment. Dr. Tom Osborne was an amazing coach. His triumphs should not be taken lightly. However, the game has outgrown him. He is an honorable man and should come to this realization and let Callahan be able to have the ability to truly install the new system in Lincoln.

They got away from there bread and butter and the foundation of Nebraska Football. They got rid of the power I formation and option instead for a west coast offense which they clearly dont have the atheles for. Callahannan is not the answer they need someone that will put the spark back into Cornhusker football.

Pederson tried changing tradition, he took pictures of former all-americans out of the athletic department and callahan needs to recruit more in state because its easier to get a kid thats from nebraska and is a nebraska fan then a kid from out of state
