If you are 5 weeks along then you are pregnant. Sometimes some pains are normal. Any severe cramping or bleeding could be a sign that the baby is in trouble. Call your doctor if you are not sure.
Don't worry about calling them on the weekends. They are used to it.

I'm pregnant with my first and when I went to the doctors I asked what it could be, and they said it was growing pains, it's just the baby making more room to grow. It does get better in a little bit. As long as you are not having any bleeding with the cramps or anything like that I wouldn't worry to much about it, but if you are worried and want to know more just call your obgyn. hope this helps and good luck with everything!!!

it's absolutley normal i was so scared when i was pregnant i felt like everything was out to get me and hurt me and my unborn child it's crazy but that is how i felt! but you are going to feel a lot of cramping and then some for the next 9 months but it's all worth when you see that wrinkly face starring back at you!

Is this your 1st or 2nd? I found with my 2nd child I had period like pains from quite early on. I think aslong as you dont start bleeding you should be fine but mention it to your midwife/doctor at your next appoinment to be safe.

No, it is not. BraxtonHicks contractions do not come so soon, they come at second term the soonest. It can be something serious enough to ask for ER or gyn consult on it, particularly if a bleeding is added.
