I agree, lay off of her everyone. She was under tremendous stress and trying to be a good person and pet owner. Anyone who has pets should know they are family and it was hard enough to let Iggy go but then to have him taken from his new lovable family. Why couldn't the organization evaluated the new owners to verify iggy had a great new home? There would have been less stress for all. I truly believe they had ill gotten gains in mind that backfired on them. I just want to say how sorry I am that this had to happen and cause so much pain to so many. I do hope the next time this instance occurs there is a human in charge that truly knows the value of doing the best they can for not only the families involved but the Pet. Isn't that the idea? I ask that they reconsider there actions and make a gesture of kindness as all those who adopt these poor forgotten animals do each day. Have a heart!
Ellen, I pray for recovery of your broken heart. I know how painful it is to lose a family pet.

Well technicly she was suppose to return the puppy back to the shelter if she was no longer going to keep it
Its the Shelters responsibility to find a secure safe place
for the puppy they have to make sure its going to end up
in the right place (And that is important)
But Ellen slipped and ended up finding the puppy a home
all by her willy self. The shelter had not met up with this new family there fore they had to take the puppy back for its safety
I mean what if it was a animals abusive family? Its the shelters responsibility to make sure that doesnt happen.
But If i was the Lady at the Shelter id just go meet up with the family find out who they are make sure they are safe
and give them the damn dog back
after all thats their job as well finding the dog a home
they did screw up by making it a bigger deal.
Ellen just wanted to help So she tried dooing everything possible I dont believe shes at fault.

She was definately upset however she admitted to not reading the contract and she signed it. Let that be a lesson to all. I just hope that cute little dog gets a wonderful home after all this dies down, but in all reality there are more kids on foster care that need good homes and they are certainly more important than animals at this point. I should know, I have adopted 6 now.

I don't blame her at all. I think the shelter comes off looking bad because the puppy went to a good home with people who loved him. Unfortunately, the owner of the shelter's reaction will make people think twice about adopting dogs from that place.

YES YES YES I think it was wrong to use sponsered aire time to express her dislike for the firm. No matter right or wrong she shouldn't abuse her "priveledge" to be on the tube.
Do you think the network backs Ellens views about everything ?

I believe it needed to be brought out in the open but I think it got a little carried away. Its just a dog for gods sake. not a baby.

No. She couldn't hide her emotions. She's human. I would be the same way. It was probably two late for her to cancel the show, and she had to go on.
