i think spraying on the wrist is not a great idea, cause when you go to wash your hands during the day it keeps getting washed off.
i think the reason people did it was because that part of the body doesn't give off heat and so the perfume doesn't wear off so fast due to heat.

You spray it on places where you can feel your heart beat. Wrist, neck, between your breast.
