yes. If you don't, live in other countries for a few years, then you will appreciate it more.

In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned. When his cause succeeds however, the timid join him, For then it costs nothing to be a Patriot.
Mark Twain 1835 -1910
Loyalty to the country always. Loyalty to the government when it deserves it.
Mark Twain 1835 -1910
If a politician found he had cannibals among his constituents, he would promise them missionaries for dinner.
Henry Louis Mencken (1880-1956)
CAPITAL, n. The seat of misgovernment. That which provides the fire, the pot, the dinner, the table and the knife and fork for the anarchist; the part of the repast that himself supplies is the disgrace before meat.
Ambrose Bierce (1842-1914)
A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his government.
Edward Abbey
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
Edmund Burke 1729-1797

Absolutely! Do I always agree with what our Congress and President do? No, but I still love my country. That is why we have an election process. We vote for the candidates that say they will accomplish the things we as citizens would like to see done. If that doesn't happen we have the next election to elect another person who we think will. But that is part of what makes this country great.

Absolutely yes. This is where I was born, where I was raised, where my children will be born and where they will be raised. It has given me all that I have now and I feel infinitely blessed by my Lord to have been born here in the land where anything is possible through American ingenuity and heart. I disagree with many of the things the U.S. has done; for instance, some of the errors of Vietnam. But I do believe we are a noble country that tries our best to solve the world's problems. God Bless America.

I'm a democrat. But first and foremost I'm a patriot.
Just spent from 8:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. preparing and executing (with the help and full participation of my lovely neighbors) a welcome home with more than 400 flags and lots of yellow ribbons for one of our returning military women.
Not a friend, not a close neighbor.
I love my country. I love ALL of it. I have respect and I support the Republicans' rights and goals, though I don't share them and may even oppose some. I don't oppose THEM. I am not a political bigot. I don't hate half my country.
I put my country ahead of my own personal ideology.
I love my country.
(Oh, the welcome home went great. I love my neighbors!)

Of course I do, its where I was born, its where my kids were born. It is my home. And for all the evils that it has, it also is the best country to live in, in terms of freedoms. And now that we are going to elect a new president, some of the freedoms that we lost, will be regained. And some of the respect from the international community that was lost will be regained as well.

I love my country for how great it used to be - and could be again.
Unfortunately, arrogance, avarice, selfishness and hubris has set in, poisoning the hearts and minds of our leaders, our bureaucrats, and our citizens.
The United States of America is sliding down a slippery slope, heading for collapse, just as the great Greek and Roman empires did once they allowed their amorality, debauchery, greed, gluttony, wickedness, power, and superiority to overtake their humility, patriotism, decency, compassion, moral fiber, wholesome spirit, and honor.
We are a society in decline. It's sad.

I love what this country used to stand for -- not what it has become, and not what it does in my name.
