I'm in the process now. The "community" reported a question because it had the word sex in it.
My question is have you read this on the appeals page?
"What happens next: If Answers Customer Care approves your appeal, your answer will be reposted to Yahoo! Answers. However, please note that if your appeal is denied, 10 points will be deducted from your account."
Is this the 10 points for asking, 10 points for not winning the appeal and 5 for asking that I actually lose now?

Yea, in my mine I also see it as "5 points for asking, 10 points for removal and 10 points for losing the appeal."
Other wise why would the say "If you lose the appeal" or mention the 10 twice?

I've successfully appealed a suspension of this account. When you lose 10 points, you only lose it once, and that is in addition to the 5 points for asking the question. They take away the stars you received as well.

yes, i did that last night and this morning they told me i won my appeal and they put my answer back on. i didn't pay attention to the points. i think it's 10 pts for asking for the appeal and then losing. my answer was just regarding bush being a bad pres.

I have never received a violation, but I haven't been here long, and I usually stay in Polls and Surveys, or Politics and Government, but I usually don't answer controversial questions over there, I guess I kind of stay "under the radar".

I had 2 violations as we communicate. One replaced into honest adequate...a individual replaced into spewing hate and bashing all human beings on the board final night. I informed him that I felt he replaced into behaving like a Nazi. he continues to be on the board, my respond is long previous. Oh nicely. the different replaced into thoroughly unfair. I in simple terms asked what instructions human beings had found out from their grandparents. i replaced into commemorated that all human beings shared relatively touching and private thoughts. maximum dealt with triumph over tragedy, which actual made it a non secular question and answer consultation. i replaced into deleted for chatting, that's the huge-unfold reason i'm given. i do no longer difficulty fascinating the violations because of the fact it does no solid. For information of this, you opt for in simple terms bypass to the communicate board. human beings soreness over this on a regular basis. Chatting is a contravention because of the fact it isn't the sharing of awareness (say what??). Spewing hate is authorized, for the reason that's a transference of awareness. a minimum of that's the only genuine answer I even have ever been given. do no longer even attempt to make experience of it.
