Some bullies are mean because they're bored in school and have nothing else to do. That's why the drop out age should be lower. They'd probably be less bullies in school because they'd be at home and do something else. Some bullies just like to make fun of people. I think all schools should be divided into 2. Half the school for the good kids and the other half for the bullies.

Bullies? People like you and I, but don't quite grasp the fact that people are sensative to their comments. Some bullies bully for the hell of it. What to do? Well, everyone says ignore them. I think you need to seriously think, and find the source as to why you are being bulled. Then, and this worked for me, think of some cool movie caracter, and how they act in bad situations. Most of the time, they are poise, calm, speak evenly, look enemy straight in the eye, and know their grounds. Do not try violence, especially if you are smaller than your opponent. Also if this person is potentially dangerous, meaning they might have some form of weapon, you should report them directly, but that's not often. Also, do ignore rummers, as they fade away with time, and mean nothing. Try to have a few close, GOOD friends, and you will be well off.

If there ever were to have been good communication between child and parent,_and of course this entitles confidence and trust both ways_, plus the required time for parent to listen to a child's complaint (even when the right complaint might not be given right away for fear of being blamed for the problem, etc.). And the absolutely necessary interest the parent must display at all time in his or her children's social qualities, independence traits (or lack of), the indespensable instillment of "you are a human being and thus need to be treated as everyone else". Etc., etc.

Now imagine if all this is done in reverse: The child is never listened to_sometimes not even seen or heard because of complete busy schedules, etc._

I was bullied all through elementary school, then junior high. By the time I was in high school, due to my strength and speed, every one left me alone.
I think of bullies as being very low, not worth considering. While they are "humans" under the law, they definitely are not "humane".
To me they are so worthless (as they must believe also, considering their behaviour) as to not merit any feelings. So, pretend that they do not exist; give them the cold shoulder; avoid them. But, protect yourself. Keep a diary or whatever it takes to leave a record of their abuses.
Take care.

No i would not have them dead. No human should besubjected to that. I feel that noone should ever have to go through being bullied. It never happened to me as school. But thats because on my first day i had a fight with some one 3 years older than me. It may not work for all but there is always some that wants to be there for you. Just open your eyes and look around.

This is actual Freedon from Bullying Week. I know because the factory I work at allows supervisors to bully us.This one woman had enough and told her husband, so he called and threatened the supervisor. We now have armed security guards to protect the supervisor against the woman's husband. The laws need to be changed to protect everyone from a bully. Most people don't know how to handle the situation. Report your bully to the principal. Good luck!

Bullies are very insecure people. The only way they can feel important is to bully others. My method is to fight fire with fire. If someone bullies me, I stand up to them. Nobody gets the best of me if I can possibly help it. And I am just a little woman with a big mouth:)

They started bullying way before high school and I would say "don't talk to me about child abuse, I'm going to stop my child from bullying by a good spanking every time I know he/she has bullied." It wouldn't go on for long.

Bullies have no life and they are self conscious. Just keep your head up and take all their comments like they're a piece of dust.

Bullies are always a problem, just ignore them and punch 'em the nose.
