I am a soprano 1 who needs a good broadway or musical solo song to sing. Please, no songs from "Wicked" or "Phantom".

I suppose it depends on the play you're auditioning for. I personally would suggest Memory from Cats as a downbeat song or Come What May from Moulin Rouge(there is a guy part in that though) Or you could even do a song from Jekyll an Hyde, such as In His Eyes or Someone like you.

What about a song from Les Miz eg . On my Own .
You could also sing Somewhere over the Rainbow as it shows that you can sing a whole octave.

"You'll Never Walk Alone" from Carousel or "As Long As He Needs Me" from Oliver!
