Yeah, a couple. I only went to court for one. I plead guilty, but asked that the judge consider the circumstances. (Then I went into my diatribe about what happened.) I only had to pay some court cost fee (which was less than the fine), and no points were assessed against my license (which otherwise would have been).

I think it's a good idea to appear in court, unless it is out-of-town.

Unfortunately Yes, but I was truly guilty. I gave the officer the amount of the fine right then so that I could keep my license on me and then I signed my copy of the ticket and turned it in at the court house, The officer told me that I could fight the ticket but I laughed and told him no that I deserved it.

If it is your first, plead guilty. You still wont get in much trouble. You usually will need a lawyer if you are pleading not guilty. that will end up costing you more than the ticket.

Yup...43 in a 30...I pleaded guilty and took the fine. I received 2 points on my license and had to pay about $100. :(

Yes, and paid it. In those days it only cost about 35 bucks. My brother, God rest him, once got a 'slowness' ticket! He was not familiar with the controls of his new/used car and got ticketed for doing 20 in a 35 commercial zone. When he got home, he had a long face, and I asked him what was wrong. "I got a ticket"(his first one ever) I was amazed, because he was such a safe, courteous driver. "For what, parking?" I asked. When he told me, I laughed so hard HE started laughing, and I paid the fine. Slowness ticket...:)

I have had a couple a long time ago... my last one I took traffic school. still had to pay the fine (they call it bail) and then had to pay for the traffic school.... it was on the computer and did not take too long to do.....and the ticket does not go on your driving record.... you can only do traffic school once in 18 months and the months start counting from when you did traffic school.....
