On mine, which is an 06 CDTi Life model, it is underneath the tray that sits behind the gearstick underneath the handbrake.

Its under the plastic tray beneath the handbrake. You need to prise it off to gain access.

There is a panel which is removable and it sits between the gearstick and handbrake.
