Tobacco seeds are easy to find, and the University of Florida has instructions for growing it yourself, so that's probably a good sign!

There ARE some serious restrictions if you plan on going into business, but people have been growing it at home for ages.

If you google "Buy tobacco seeds", you'll come up with stuff like this:

Good luck!

There are no laws preventing it. You can buy Burley Tobacco seeds from Gurney's Seed and Nursery and Henry Field as well as several other seed companies. Do not grow Nicotiana ornamental or flowering tobacco if you plan on smoking or chewing.
In Washinton you will need to plant early in Spring as it requires a fairly long growing season.
