4(3 + 5)² = 4 (8)² = 4 x 64 = 256

The answer is 64. If you need to know how you do it you first add 3 and 5 which is 8. Then multiply it by 4, which is 32. Then, finally, multiply it by 2 which is 64.

4(3+5)2 we will add 3 and 5 that is 4(8)2 and then when there isn't any addition or subtraction or multiplication or division sign then we always put a multiplication sign there
4*8*2 then we will first multiply 4 by 8 because it is first so
32*2=64

=32 (is that a square 2?)
=64

whenever they put a formula within parenthesis, it just means to do that problem first and then multiply it by the number outside the parens. Try to think about math as if it's a puzzle to piece together... you'll have more fun that way.
