Why do you insist on ruining your kids fun by not letting them trick or treat or being all like, "Well Halloween is a satanic holiday, blah, blah, blah.....I'm holy-er than you, blah, blah, blah...""
My fa vorite-ist holiday when I was a kid WAS/IS Halloween!!! Mom would make my costume every year(she worked full time and went to school full time so it was really hard on her to make this labour of love)
I mean, the knocking on doors, seeing the cool costumes, getting candy, etc....The past 3 years, my son got soooo much that we sent a couple boxes to the soldiers in Iraq along with a couple of pics of my son and his best buds in their costumes. They got a kick out of it!!!(This was someone I know, not a stranger, etc...So before your all like, oh that's bad blah, blah, blah!!!)

Halloween is meant to be FUN!!!

I have come to the conclusion that some people are just anti-fun. Maybe it's in their genes or maybe they were picked on as children, and this is some passive aggressive way of taking out that pent up anger, but the bottom line is that they only get to be children for a short time, and I think they should be able to enjoy that time when life is all fun and games, and little to no responsibility. Don't we get enough of that as adults?

I fully agree!! I see Halloween as a time for children to get dressed up as one of their favorite hero's or just being something else for a little like a queen, king, or tinker bell. =) I do not know why people add satin to it and make it all bad. When I took my nephew and my niece trick or treating one year I went over to my Brothers house. We rang the doorbell and some guy answered the door and said "I'm Sorry but these people are not taking part in Halloween." I looked at the guy and said "Where the hell is Bob?!" He looked at me kinda taken back and I said "I am his brother where is he?" Ha! Turns out my other nieces were having a bible study class on Halloween. Bob was not there, but I got to say hi to them and they really liked my niece’s costume, she was cute. Then we left and all was well. I just could not believe that someone would answer the door to a house they did not live in, and say in a kinda mean way to two kids ,that “they were not taking part in Halloween“. Poor guy will think twice before he does that again. I think kids should be allowed to have fun and dress up and enjoy showing off and getting candy. There is no need to try and make it about the devil or like if a kid dresses up that they are some how showing that they support the devil. Heck they just want to have some fun and get some candy, so let them. I think kids look cute when they are all dressed up. There is no reason to kill their fun!! =)

People who think Halloween is a Satanic holiday are misinformed, anyway! ;] I don't get it, and I'm certainly going to let my kids go out.
