Well, I like ghoulish myself.
Zombies, cemetary, body parts...stuff like that.
A cemetary theme would be fun.

My idea probably wouldn't work for a party theme, but what I think is scary is how careless and dangerous the world is becoming.

scary/spooky is the unknown presented in a threatening manner. like a gaping window you just cannot get to close all the way, with pitch darkness and odd noises on the other side.

mmm an idea could be pet cemetery, have you seen the movie? well you could give to your guests hamburgers and hot dogs. also have stuffed animals with chopped heads.

Blood, gore, I find it awesome, but most people find it scary and gross. And so if people at your party find it awesome that is a + if people at your party find it scary that's a + too!
Butcher's knife, with human body parts all over a table, blood, bones, ect.
But for the love of my momma, PLEASE, let all of this stuff be fake. :-0
