"COVERAGE" meaning stories covering violence. . . . ex. 5 people shot in Compton. . .drive by two people killed. . .catch my drift. . .

That would be violating one of our civil rights. No I do not think that the government should have any say at all in what the media has to say. Personally I don't believe they are as unbiased as they(media) used to be. But I most definitely do not believe the government should CENSOR the media.

the government must resctrict coverage of media violence because its their duty to protect the public from irresponsible and sensationalize journalism. Sometimes the media only focus on the negative part of the news. They are biased. They must have equal focus on both negative and positive news that happen on the coountry. when the government restrict it, they were not supressing the right of the media but rather protect the ineterest of the public

It would violate the Constitution and even if it did not ,
It would violate common sense .

This country is supposed to be based on truth and not just the pretty truth .

If you don't like the violence ,
Work to change the causes .
NOT hide your head in the sand .

I have to admit that I have never seen the media be violent towards anyone. Could you please provide examples of media violence ?
