1) Until Bush started throwing around words like "tax relief" last I heard, taxes WEREN"T considered a burden, wage conficscation, or any sort of government theft and impingement on the individual.
They were seen as an investment in the community and nation, an investment in ensuring that we all have police protection from those who violate society's laws, that the infrastructure is well maintained, that if you fall on hard times you will be given assistance until you can get back on your feet.
2) The only reason anybody NEEDS tax relief is beccause we are doing the opposite of common sense and intelligence. If we taxed most, those who had the most, which makes sense, then we could lessen the burden on the lower classes and thus, allow them more purchasing power and help them raise their financial status, and create increased fiscal responsibility and honest sense of duty in the extreme rich.

They do tax the people who make the most more it’s just that they know how to get around it, tax loopholes etc.
I can’t figure out why there isn’t a consumer tax, tax those that can afford a yacht more then those who only buy a canoe. (a rebate would be needed for those who don’t make enough to cover their taxes, I think in Presidents Bush‘s proposal was for anyone making under $40,000)
Not only would it be fairer but also people who avoid taxes would no longer be able to. Like drug dealers and other people who are paid under the table, any people from other countries like Canadians who spend all winter down south, Movie actors who film out of the U.S. to avoid taxes etc.

You're wrong, taxes are a burden. The best way of making sure everyone gets more wealth isn't to collect and re-distribute the already-existing wealth, but to empower the economy to create MORE wealth. It does this by reinvesting its own earnings - which it does less of when tax rates are higher.
Taxes on ANYONE are a burden on that entire process.
And so you know, since the Bush tax cuts the share of the total tax burden paid by the top 1%, 5%, 10%, 20%, 25%, has gone UP, and so has tax revenue.

Actually, those who make the most already pay the most, and the fact is that the "burden" on the lower class could hardly be less.
According to data from the IRS, the bottom 50 percent of income earners pay approximately 4 percent of income taxes.
The top 25 percent of income earners pay nearly 83 percent of the income tax burden, and the top 10 percent pay 65 percent.
The top 1 percent of income earners pay almost 35 percent of all income taxes.
You can blame George Bush for all sorts of things, and perhaps rightly so. But trust me on this one, he's not responsible for giving taxes a bad name. People hated paying taxes long before W was President.

Actually you are completely wrong. Taxes have always been considered a burden and many considered it wage confiscation going all the way back to the institution of the income tax. Everyone rich and poor are taxed for more than necessary..........

FAIR taxes are one thing; confiscation of wealth from the rich is something else. When you need a job, do you go to a poor man, or a rich man ? Fair or not, that is the way capitalism works. If you believe in Socialism, there are many countries away from this great United States of ours where you can find that.

Warren Buffet, because of Bushes tax breaks on capital gains, made 1billion last year and payed 17.5% in taxes. His secretary made $60,000 and paid 30% in taxes. If your given or inherit money, you pay nothing in taxes thanks to Bush's "Death" tax reform. If you EARN money, then you 'gotta pay taxes...do the Repug-licans EVER make sense except to the rich?

You're right, however, taxes also depend on how big goverment spending is...........I personally think that government spending should be low, just enough to provide us with the basic necessities like police and the military, and that taxes should be low.
