I'm 13, and it's been over a month since I've had my period and I don't know why. I'm not stressed or dieting so i don't know what's wrong. Yesterday, my lower back started to hurt, and I thought I had it, but when I checked, it wasn't there. And my cycle has gotten pretty monthly and it's not skipping around anymore, but this time, it hasn't come. Help.

that happend 2 me recently too. even if it has gotten regular, when your in your early teen years, your hormones are so out of wack that even if you are regular it can jump around. like for me i did have it in the middle of the month but ever since it happend when i got outa wack its been at the end of the month. and the lower back is a sign of your uterus contracting and practicing for your period. so it should come within the next week to week and 1//2.

well assuming and hoping that as a 13 year old you aren't having sex. it could honestly just be your body changing. I know that this happened to me and i was 16 at the time. I wasn't having sex at that age either and i was all freaked out. I asked my mom and she just told me that sometimes your body goes through changes and what not that can affect your period. As an adult now i know there are so many things that can affect your period... having surgery, being on antibotics/pain meds/stress (even if you don't think you are you may internalize it)... the list goes on. Now on the other side... if you are having sex...(again i really hope you aren't) then you may want to talk to your parents and get a pregnancy test done. I'm not sure how "late" you are but sometimes your body will start a few days late and it's just your body being wierd... but please get a test done if you are having sex even if it's protected... condoms break and leak and all that good stuff your parents should be talking to you about, not me!

Your period takes time to familarize itself with your body. Even when you think you have your cycle memorized and down pat, it could be really off the next month. I'm guessing you couldn't have had your period for over 2 years, so you're definitely still getting adjusted to it. It could come in another week, or it could not come at all. If it doesn't come this month, don't worry and just wait for your next period. If you still don't get it and you're not on drugs or pregnant (I hate when people say that but you still have to cross it out) I would go to your doctor and ask her it check it out, it could be a small infection that is totally treatable.

If you are sexually active, it may be time to get a pregnancy test. If it comes back negative (or if you're not having sex) give it some time. Even after it stabilizes, it may still occasionally skip a month. If it doesn't show up next month, see a doctor.

Your 13 and your boby is still changing. Back pain could be cramps. You may be getting ready to start in a short while as long as there is no chance that you may be pregnaunt. ??

give it a week. you are still young and it wont always run like clockwork. its ok to miss a month but if it becomes really irregular, like the flow has changed drasticly, or if its not comming at all, go to a gynocologist. you should go now that you have started your period. good luck hun!

ok well unless your messing around you really shouldn't worry, when i was starting mine it would be gone for two months so it's ok. the only thing you can do is excersise and try to take your mind off of it.However if you are messing around go see a doctor.
