If there's no shut off valve in either heater hose line at the passenger side firewall, and one hose is hot and the other is colder, it seems your heater core under the dash is clogged. What other explanation could there be?? This assumes normal coolant system operation with no trapped air and hot circulating coolant going to the heater core. If you haven't changed your coolant every 2 years, then both your heater core and radiator may be plugged up.

One of your hoses must go on the discharge of the water pump and the other to the engine water jacket. This is the only way to get circulation. There should be a fitting on the pump housing. possinly with a plug in it.
