G day mate!
Yup, you're unfortunately, right. Most children lack respect and are unruly. It is the parent's fault. People are all busy with themselves and more often than not, the parents throw money at the child, but take no interest in their lives. We are in a fast paced, quick gratification, me society. There are children having children. No rules, no morals and no end in sight.
Geeeesh! Depressing.
Hugs to you!

Excuse me? My parents haven't/aren't teaching me to be 'disrespectful, inconsiderate, unruly, ill mannered, ungrateful, selfish, unimaginative, rude, and spoiled'.
You can't blame the whole tree because of a few rotten apples

It depends on the parents and the environment that they were raised in. I have to disagree with that statement because even though you said most it is actually a small fraction. A good majority of kids that I have met were the opposite of those things that you mention. Though I must also say that you are right. There are some children you are just absolutely horrible and the parents are to blame.

rather, i think of Disney is attempting to take over the international and mould the critiques of all and sundry. I say that because of the fact Disney has exchange into this large conglomerate with parks in distant places international locations, owns ABC and correct networks, seems to have this is tentacles in each and everything. i don't think of everyone realizes the insidious attain of the media. yet, I could upload, that varied it starts off at living house. it isn't virtually protecting your infant removed from the television, this is approximately what gets pronounced over the dinner table. Are the mum and father involved? Do they communicate approximately international activities at living house? possibly not. nonetheless, i does not difficulty a lot correct to the subsequent technology. this is incredible what proportion disaffected severe schoolers exchange into hyper-political college little ones. this is protecting them involved as adults that's the genuine difficulty.

I have to agree with the other answers that indicate that it depends on the child's upbringing. I've seen parents that allow their children to run riot and do anything they darn well please, and on the other hand I see kids with flawless manners.
I think the most important thing about this generation of children is that they have no impulse control. Anything they want, they want it NOW, and parents are often only too happy to indulge them. I think that this may be as a result of guilt over not being able to spend sufficient time with their kids.

I wouldn't quite label myself under any of those, my parents raised me to the best of their knowledge & did a pretty great job if you ask me. Me & my bro are the only ones who are in college & actually FINISHING. And we don't play sports, we actually GO TO CLASS. So for my parents not to go to school to futher their education, I say they did a good job. I've never been into physical fights, I'm STILL in church, I didn't stray away after graduating high school. The list can go on, but not ALL children are like that...and I was NOT raised in a "rich" nor "poor" area...I came out just fine.

You're saying that adults have always that that children were bad. It's a good point. And most probably outgrow it and become good adults. Still it can be hard to take.

Yes, I agree. I think it's largely due to lack of discipline because everything is labelled as child abuse.
