i got a 96 328ic and it all started around the time the o2 sesnsors were replaced on bank 2. the whole car is vibrating when i come to a comeplete stop so i hooked up my scan tool and its reading a misfire on cyl # 4,5,6 ... i switched the coilpacks from cyl's 1-3 which weren't missing to cyl's 4-6 which were and cleared the code and now its coming back as still a miss in cyl's 4-6 .... also its says pre and post o2 sensor voltage on the scanner.... the first time it said something about one of the o2 sensors being at thier limit ?? ... dont no if this applies but all of a sudden ive got a major problem with oil burning, i just had to put in almost 3 qts of 10w-30 royal purple oil also the sparkplugs were replaced last month with bosch platinum 2's it came up today when thinking about somethin that i didnt use oem o2 sensors but a universal 4 wire sensor ... could the voltage be wrong and thats why its missin on those cylenders??

you barkin' up wrong tree. Back up to beginning. The O2 sensors that were changed should not have been. There was nothing wrong with them. They tried to tell you of a problem. The O2 sensors lit up because of a misfire caused by oil fouling of the spark plugs in cyl'. 4,5,6. This oil burning will rapidly destroy you cat converter. Stop changing parts and work on the cause---oil burning.

If you run your engine without ignition to all cylinders, lots of problems may appear. It appears that the misfire on cylinders 4, 5, and 6 is not coming from the rear coilpack. In any case, I would suggest you change both coil packs again as they have had frequent problems in BMWs. Check with a paper clip or wire to see if there is a spark from coil pack 4,5,6 as the starter motor is running. If there is a spark, check for fuel flow to the cylinders 4,5,6. Lastly replace the O2 sensors one at a time.
