I am on Solia which is the generic for Desogen. It is a monophasic pill. I don't like having a period and I have heard that if I keep taking the active pills when I should be taking the inactive pills my period will not come. Is this at all harmful to the body? I don't want to do this every month, but maybe every two months or so. Anyone have any experience in doing this? Thanks!!!

If you don't want a period you REALLY should go on one of the pills that either make you have three periods a year or makes you have none at all. You should use the pills AS PRESCRIBED.

Talk to your DOCTOR before doing any skipping of pills.

I did this once and it took MONTHS to get back on track, I was getting periods on my active cycle, heavier periods and cramps as well.

You shouldn't do it unless you get an OK from the DOCTOR.
